CT-1 Escape Lab: A Free Mini Game for Students to Take a Study Break
CT-1 Escape Lab
Help CT-1 munch the homework and escape the lab!
Studying can get tiring.
Sometimes, students just need a short break before going back to homework, revision, or tuition work. That is why I created CT-1 Escape Lab, a simple mini game featuring CT-1, my cardboard robot study buddy.
In this game, CT-1 moves through a maze-like lab, collects notebooks, pencils and pens, and avoids little distractions along the way.
It is not meant to be a serious learning intervention.
It is not meant to replace studying.
It is simply a small, light-hearted game for students to relax for a while.
Because sometimes, the brain just needs a tiny cardboard robot to munch homework.
What Is CT-1 Escape Lab?
CT-1 Escape Lab is a free browser-based mini game where students help CT-1 collect homework items while moving through a maze.
The game includes:
notebooks, pencils and pens to collect
Distraction Ghosts and Deadline Bugs to avoid
a Chicken Timer power-up
multiple levels
keyboard and mobile controls
The goal is simple:
help CT-1 collect the items and escape the lab.
It is designed to be quick, cute, and easy to play directly on this page.
Why I Made This Game
I made this game mainly as a fun study break for students.
Students often spend long hours dealing with school, homework, tuition, revision, tests and exams. A short game can give them a little mental reset before they return to work.
This game is not about forcing productivity.
It is not about pretending that games magically improve grades.
It is just a small break.
A student can play for a few minutes, smile at CT-1, and then go back to the next task with a slightly lighter mood.
That is enough.
Meet CT-1
CT-1 is my cardboard robot study buddy.
I use CT-1 in my learning resources because CT-1 is friendly, simple, and privacy-conscious. Instead of using real student faces or student work, CT-1 helps me create educational content in a fun and respectful way.
In this game, CT-1 is not giving a lecture.
CT-1 is just trying to survive the homework maze.
Very relatable.
How to Play
Use the arrow keys or WASD keys to move CT-1.
If you are playing on mobile, use the direction buttons on the screen.
Your mission:
Move CT-1 through the maze.
Collect notebooks, pencils and pens.
Avoid the Distraction Ghosts and Deadline Bugs.
Use the Chicken Timer when you need help.
Clear the level and help CT-1 escape.
Simple. Fast. Slightly chaotic. Very CT-1.
A Short Break, Then Back to Work
This game is best used as a short break between study tasks.
For example, students can play one round after:
finishing a worksheet
completing a tuition assignment
revising one topic
correcting mistakes
doing a timed practice
The idea is not to play endlessly.
The idea is to rest a little, reset, then continue.
Even hardworking brains need snack breaks. CT-1 just happens to snack on stationery.
Try CT-1 Escape Lab
Play the game below and help CT-1 escape the lab.
After that, take a breath, drink some water, and return to one small task.
Not the whole mountain.
Just the next thing.
Looking for Math and Science Support?
I create learning resources and lessons for students who need clearer explanations, structured practice, and a more supportive way to approach Math and Science.
CT-1 Escape Lab is just one small fun feature on this site — a little break in between the serious work.
Because learning matters, but students are still human.
And sometimes, humans need to watch a cardboard robot run away from deadline bugs.
